Ms. Kathleen Wilson earned her master’s and doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Windsor. She is currently completing her pre-doctoral residency training before registering as a Psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. Kathleen has training in various therapeutic modalities, and she has worked with children, adolescents, young adults, and parents. She currently provides assessment and treatment to children and youth experiencing learning challenges and emotional difficulties, including anxiety, depression, obsessions and compulsions, emotion regulation challenges, anger, and trauma. She also works with parents of children with disruptive behavior’s. Kathleen works from a cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) framework and incorporates techniques from emotion focused therapy (EFT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). She strives to work in a culturally sensitive manner and to create a compassionate and non-judgmental therapeutic relationship to best meet client goals.
