Psychologist (Autonomous/Supervised Practice)

CURRENTLY HIRING

Ideal Candidates will have:

  • A Doctoral or Master’s degree in Psychology, from an accredited APA or CPA program with valid registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario
  • Completion of APPI, CPA, or CCPPP accredited internship/residency program
  • Completed internship level training in clinical psychology
  • All degree requirements completed before your start date.
  • Ability to meet the requirements for issuance of a Certificate for Supervised Practice and pursue registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario.
  • Commitment to contribute a minimum of 3 years of service (including supervised practice period)
  • High commitment to uphold regulatory, ethical and professional standards including mandatory reporting
  • Demonstrated skills to provide evidence-based clinical management, assessment and therapy services
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment

Registered Psychotherapist (All locations)

Psychological & Counselling Services Group (PCSG) is expanding and we are looking for innovative and forward-thinking registered psychotherapists to join our vibrant community of clinicians.  Work is in-person and virtual.

Psychotherapists will work together to enhance their skills, while still having the ability to manage their caseload and develop their own schedule. 

We are looking for:

  • Registered Psychotherapist or Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
  • Master’s degree in Psychology
  • Completed internship/practicum level training in counselling psychology
  • Commitment to contribute a minimum of 3 years of service

About Us

Psychological & Counselling Services Group is a multi-function, private practice, psychology and psychotherapy clinic that provides a wide range of clinical services in Counselling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Rehab Psychology, Health Psychology, Clinical Neuro Psychology, Forensic Psychology, Play Therapy, Family Therapy, Couple Therapy and Sex Therapy. We serve children, adolescents, adults, couples and families with diverse clinical issues and complex presentations. We have seasoned psychologists available to provide supervision.

We are a collaborative and supportive team with a strong focus on professional development. This includes individual supervision with your supervising psychologist, monthly group consultation in DBT and EFT and supervision in Family Therapy, Couple Therapy and Sex Therapy as required. There are also weekly DBT consultation groups and peer consultation groups. Regular professional development courses are available at a discounted rate through the Oshawa Psychotherapy Training Institute.

We value training the next generation of clinicians, community service and innovation. We have been offering clinical practicum placements since 2007 and are a partner with the Toronto Area Residency Consortium (TARC) in the Child Track. We offer free community workshops and a Low Fee Program to those who otherwise may not be able to afford psychological services. Our innovation program includes the Program Using Psychoeducational Intervention for Learning (PUPIL) for complex learning disabilities and Mental Health for Elite Performers for Athletes.
