What is Pain Management Therapy?

Group Therapy is a unique form of psychotherapy using the dynamics and relationships in a group as the means of learning, sharing support, working through issues, and realizing growth.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness-Based Management are two approaches, which alleviate pain and foster improved quality of life. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy promotes a focus on patterns of thinking, acting and feeling, whereas Mindfulness-Based Management for Chronic Pain encourages the acceptance of–and devotion to–the present moment.

If you are experiencing chronic pain due to disease, injury or other health matters, our CBT and Mindfulness-Based Group Therapy for pain management may be helpful to you.

Goals of this workshop include:

  • What is pain management?
  • What is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and why does it work?
  • What is Mindfulness-Based Management for Chronic Pain and why does it work?
  • Sharing helpful resources
