Dr. Krystle Martin
Dr. Krystle Martin is a licensed Clinical and Forensic Psychologist registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. She completed her Masters and Doctoral degrees at the University of Toronto.
Dr. Martin provides psychotherapeutic interventions and comprehensive psychological assessments for adult clients with a range of clinical and forensic issues; however, she has a particular interest in working with individuals diagnosed or having traits of borderline personality disorder, and with first responders (e.g. police, firefighters, paramedics etc.). While her work integrates a variety of treatment approaches, she specializes in dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).
In addition to Oshawa Psychological and Counselling Services, Dr. Martin is a Research Scientist at Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences. Her research interests are founded on social justice principles and include risk assessment, bias, resilience, recovery, and policing. She is also an adjunct faculty member at York University and the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) where she teaches in the forensic psychology graduate program.
